Log line:

Imagination creates reality, right?!

Synopsis:

In this troubled time the filmmaker remembers Méliès’s Trip to the Moon. And a stunning visual dialogue with a great lover of imagination was created.

Director’s statement:

“Man only plays when he is in the fullest sense of the word a human being, and he is only fully a human being when he plays.” Friedrich von Schiller

“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.” Albert Einstein

Has humanity gone so long a way just to be trapped in the present of time as we experience?

Has humanity gone so long a way just to forget that we are part of a bigger self?

Has humanity gone so long a way just to let our true self be thrown so far away form our true self, so far away that we can’t recognize it?

Would we know beauty of all that is and can be without imagination?

Thus, in the process of dialogue between Méliès’s Trip to the Moon and my own visual material I created a short experimental film: MÉLIÈS Thank You!
